Biography

Hello, my name is Eric Heywood! I am a photographer based out of the Sun Valley, Idaho area. My love for photography started about 10 years ago, when I bought my first camera. It is challenging to adapt to different environments while capturing the perfect photo, but I pride myself in taking on those challenges and strive to produce beautiful images. While most of my work in the past has been purely for hobby, I have now decided to bring my expertise to serve you all. Whether you are looking for engagement photos, portraits, landscapes, product photos, or adventure photos, you have ended up at the right place! I am laid back and easy to work with, so I will always provide you with a wonderful experience!

I grew up in Jackson Hole, Wyoming and resided there until I was 10. This beautiful place planted the seed for my love of the outdoors. Fly fishing, exploring, and skiing took up most of my time outside of school and landed me in my fair share of trouble! After leaving Jackson, we moved to Omaha Nebraska for a short time, before we ended up in Sun Valley, Idaho. I graduated high school in the Wood River Valley and then went onto trade school in Phoenix Arizona. After I graduated college, I moved back to the Sun Valley area, because I was not done exploring this epic place. I live for adventure and there is no shortage of that to be found in the mountains of Idaho. I enjoy mountain biking, hiking, backpacking, mountaineering, hunting, fishing, and anything else that gets me outside. I have a plethora of adventure stories to share with you, so follow my blog to ensure you don’t miss any of my epic adventures and mishaps.

I currently live in Carey, Idaho, where my daughter Sage, my gorgeous girlfriend Shaylin, and I are building our dream ranch. We absolutely love spending time as a family working towards making this place ours. There is a lot of work to be done, but we are no strangers to hard work! We are working toward big things in the next couple of years, so be on the lookout for the release of something special. We know you will all absolutely love what we are dreaming up!
